Madison Building

RFS Architects provided architectural design services under a design-build contract for a 25,000 SF Class A medical office building. The design was achieved using tilt wall construction with a steel building frame. Embedded brick, metal wall panels, and coated concrete were used as exterior finishes. The scope also included the design of interior public spaces as well as a featured entrance lobby area.

Suffolk Health and Human Services Building

RFS Architects provided architectural and engineering design services under a design-build contract for a new 3-story 61,000 SF office building designed for the Suffolk Department of Social Services and the Suffolk Health Department. The building exterior is brick and pre-cast concrete. The interior scope of work included complete space planning, tenant improvements, interior finish selections and modular furniture plans. Spaces included offices, conference and training rooms, treatment rooms, and storage. The project was designed with energy-efficient and sustainable green building features and was awarded a LEED Silver Rating by the US Green Building Council.

Gloucester Medical Arts Building

The design was achieved using tilt wall construction with a steel building frame. Embedded brick and coated concrete were used as exterior finishes. VIP Suite at the Chrysler Hall Performing Arts Center

Chrysler Hall is the premier performing arts venue in Norfolk, Virginia, located in the downtown section of the city. Built in 1972 and located next to the Norfolk Scope arena, the venue is home to the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, the Virginia Ballet and hosts Broadway plays while serving as Norfolk’s primary theater and concert venue. RFS was commissioned by the city to design a VIP Suite to be used as an assembly area for special events and private gatherings associated with activities held at the center. The project involved the renovation of 2,000 SF of existing space located on the 3rd floor. The new space consists of a lounge, custom bar, service areas, and restrooms. RFS Architects provided project programming, design development, interior design, graphic rendering, and preparation of construction documents for the complete renovation of the Chrysler Hall VIP Lounge. The project included asbestos abatement, demolition, new finishes, new fixtures, new lighting and new multi-colored LED accent lighting.
